Almost fifty years ago, the hospitals that formed Mid Coast recognized the need to attract highly qualified specialists as well as primary care doctors to our area. Today, the Mid Coast family of health care professionals has grown to include doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and allied health professionals practicing in 30 different specialties and interest areas including:

Nurses

Mid Coast Hospital nurses are highly qualified, compassionate professionals. From the ER to the operating rooms, inpatient and outpatient, nurses are the connective tissue that keeps our hospital running. Their depth and breadth of skills reflect the highest level of training and many have advanced certifications. We think their caring and knowledge rivals that of any health care facility in the state.

Technologists

Before treatment or diagnosis, the most advanced diagnostics provide our physicians and caregivers with the knowledge they need, In our laboratory and imaging departments, we have highly training technologists and physician pathologists and radiologists. Well beyond the basics, these professionals have special training in MRI, 64 slice CT, Pet Scan, guided biopsies, and other technologies.
