Mid Coast's Palliative
and Supportive Care Program
Hospice care is a form of palliative care, offered to those in
the last six months of life. In the Mid Coast community, hospice
care is provided through our affiliate, CHANS Home Health Care.
The CHANS team of healthcare professionals will work with you
to develop a comprehensive, individualized care plan, including
medications and medical equipment to help your terminally ill
loved one remain at home. CHANS hospice services are generally
covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance. To

Volunteers in Mid Coast Maine. These trained volunteers provide
companionship, respite,
transportation and support to families coping with dying and
grief. The organization’s Alyce Redman Resource Center
